But the game went into a lull despite there still being good football on display with both teams trying to get the ball down and play.
But it was Saints who took the lead on 24 minutes.
Danny Guthrie switched the ball to Andrew Surman on the right side of the area, he checked onto his left foot and curled in a cross to the far post where it was met by the head of Saganowski.
Murray got across and got a hand to it but couldn’t keep it out and Saints led 1-0.
And it got even better when Saints doubled their lead three minutes later.
Rudi Skacel did superbly to get down the left and cross into the six yard box where it hit Gary Breen who couldn’t prevent putting it into his own net for an own goal and a 2-0 Saints lead.
And incredibly Saints made it 3-0 on 36 minutes.

Saints sealed the points with a first goal of the season for Saints from Best.
The ball came across the Wolves box, Breen managed to block Best’s first effort but the ball came back to him and he calmly drilled it low into the far corner for 4-0.
Saints made it an incredible 5-0 on 79 minutes.
Jermaine Wright picked him out in space at the far post, Surman brought it under control with his chest and had plenty of time to measure his finish which he did to perfection, blasting it into the far corner.
It got even more amazing as Saganowski completed his hat-trick to make it 6-0 on 83 minutes.
He cut inside from the edge of the area and curled a right footed shot round the diving Murray and into the far corner.
