Two arrests after suspected drugs and machetes found in Holme Wood

Police executed a warrant at the address, on Grayswood Drive, earlier today (Thursday).

Suspected Class A and B drugs were recovered along with the weapons.

Two people were arrested in relation to drugs and weapons offences.

They have since been bailed.

A spokesperson from the force said: “Neighbourhood Policing Team 2 officers have today executed a Section 23 Misuse of Drugs Act warrant at an address on Grayswood Drive, Holme Wood.

“An amount of suspected Class A and Class B drugs were recovered along with weapons, including machete-type blades.

“Both suspects have now been bailed with conditions for further enquiries.

“Much of the intelligence, allowing police to obtain warrants, is gained by community intelligence received, and for those who provide this, we are grateful.

“These people provide this information wanting to improve their neighbourhoods and communities.
